​I feel like it's every authors dream to be able to read their stories to as many listeners and readers. I know that having the opportunity to read in front of a large audience is something that I have been waiting for.
This opportunity became a reality for me recently! Not just at one school but two schools, I was asked to be part of the Family Literacy Day. Where I read my first edition to my Junior Detectives series which is hibernation. I found that story to be fitting for the time of the year. I was nervous I won't lie about that, there is a difference of reading my books to my students in my classroom.

​Then to reading my story to a whole entire school, that's where my jitters came out. To my surprise as soon as all the classrooms gathered into the gym and I was introduced all of my worries and nervousness disappeared. I took the stage and I got right into character and I owned it. As an author it was a wonderful experience of being able to interact with my audience as I shared my work with them. It sure was a great afternoon of fun, exploring and learning about animals and in how they hibernate. I am sure looking forward to more opportunities like this. You can always find me being one with nature. I am either sitting by the water, going on hikes or just sitting in my garden enjoying the true sounds of nature. Nature is what inspires me, it's where my creative juices come to life. So, of course it all came natural to me when creating The Adventures Of The Junior Detectives series.

When I am dealing with writers block and I need to connect with my creativity and thoughts I go to my neighborhood park. I go and sit at my favorite bench which is located in front of the smaller part of the pound, underneath a big maple tree. I watch the ducks swim, splash and play in the water, while the turtles are just sunbathing on the rocks watching the fish jump out of the water. I let myself feel the wind blowing through the leaves and tree branches, while birds are flying around singing their beautiful songs. As I sit there and take it all in, my thoughts become clear my writers block is starting to subside. Thankfully before leaving the house I grabbed my laptop for I knew I would continue writing my story. As I have found my inner peace In my HAPPY PLACE!
